Kams World Foods & Home operates the store at 12 Austen Road, Basildon, Essex, SS14 3RZ and this website. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.

We only collect information you choose to give us through this website, plus limited technical information needed to run and measure the site.
We use contact and product-request information to answer you and to decide which products to stock. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — running and improving a local shop — and, where you ask us to reply, taking steps at your request.
We use Black Card sign-up details to operate the loyalty programme, on the basis of performing the agreement you enter into when you join. We only send marketing emails if you opt in, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
We use analytics cookies only with your consent, which you give or refuse in the cookie banner and can change at any time.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the website and the loyalty programme, and only so far as they need it: our hosting provider, our database provider, our email delivery provider and Google Analytics.
We may disclose information where we are legally required to do so.
Contact enquiries are kept for up to 24 months. Product requests are kept for up to 24 months so we can track demand over time. Black Card details are kept for as long as you are a member and for 12 months afterwards. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access a copy of your information, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

This website is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are transmitted encrypted and stored in an access-controlled database. We apply spam protection to our forms and limit staff access to submissions.
